Thank You: The Changing Landscape, Mega Fauna & Humans – the last 22,000 Years (March 8, 2012)

THANK YOU to Grant Keddie, to attendees, and to volunteers who helped with refreshments and with set up, and especially to Margaret Lidkea, our FOUP super organizer and hostess, for this wonderful evening, in our own neighbourhood, learning about the past 22,000 years in our local environment. We had a fabulous turnout and the visuals and knowledge shared by Grant Keddie were astounding and provided so much interesting and relevant context for community thought and reflection.

The Friends of Uplands Park is pleased to present another talk in our series illuminating the past, present and future of our local ecosystems:  

Title:  The Changing Landscape, Mega Fauna & Humans – the last 22,000 Years 

Speaker:  Grant Keddie,  Curator, Archaeology Royal BC Museum will present an informative and visual  overview of the local changing human and natural landscape from the Ice Age to Fort Victoria.  Be amazed at Grant’s new research and information.  Ask questions of this well-known, excellent speaker.
