Join Birder Geoffrey Newell of the Friends of Uplands Park in a bird walk from Cattle Point through Uplands Park. Meet at Cattle Point by the first boat launch. Bring binoculars, bird books or checklists or simply show up to enjoy the outing, rain or shine.

The Friends of Uplands Park is hosting an Uplands Park Heritage Panel, a public talk scheduled for April 16-2013.
The following panel members will share their knowledge and perspectives on the “Heritage” of Uplands Park.
Marion Cumming – The importance of heritage knowledge … past, present, future
Darcy Mathews – First Nations cultural & ecological heritage of Uplands Park … past, present, future
Ben Clinton-Baker & Dr. Larry McCann – Settler and post-colonial cultural heritage of Uplands Park … past, present, future
Dr. Richard Hebda – Ecological heritage of Uplands Park … past, present, future.
The venue will be the upstairs “sports” room in the Windsor Park Pavilion, in Oak Bay.
The event starts at 7:00pm and we usually go until 9:00pm.
