Birding in Uplands Park – Sunday, March 30-2014 [9:00AM]

Birding Messages from Dave Newell:

Geoffrey is giving his next bird walk for the Friends of Uplands Park on Sunday, March. 30.  We will meet at 9:00 a.m. in the large parking lot out at the end of Cattle Point.  Uplands Park is at the north end of Willlows Beach in Oak Bay.  After observing winter seabirds, we will head inland into the park.  Please bring a friend.  Everyone is very welcome!

Geoffrey will also be giving a Bird Walk for the Capital Regional District out at Witty’s Lagoon in Metchosin on Sunday, April 27, 2014.  This is a date that he specifically chose as it is peak season for the spring shorebird migration.  Please meet at the nature house at 9:00 a.m.  To participate on this trip, you will need to be able to hike a kilometer long hill to and from the lagoon. Here are some photos Wayne Matthews took in Uplands Park on March 21-2014. All same bird, but different views.
