Uplands Park – “Snowing” Indian Plum Blossoms – February 8-2015

A walk in Uplands Park on Sunday February 2015. Indian Plum is blooming – evoking an Oak Bay early spring meadow “snow fall”.  Spring is springing. Moss is green green. Nootka Rose canes reddening.  Patches of Shooting Star whorls promise future pink petals. Blue Camas leaves emerging into light. Vernal pools protecting spaces where Water Plantain Buttercup is waiting. Ducks forage in Central Meadow vernal pools. Arbutus is in bloom. Here are some photos.
