Another lovely day at Cattle Point for Friends of Uplands Park Volunteers on Sunday February 22, 2015. Thank you to our volunteers.
Margaret Likkea reports that on Sunday, February 22, 2015, 27 people worked mainly on ivy and Daphne for 58 hours. This included 10 UVic students and several Glenlyon students. People worked very hard and removed so much! We will work in this area again next Sunday, March 1, 2015, with the Green Team.
Here are some photo taken by Wylie Thomas.
A beautiful sunny day at Cattle Point on Sunday Februar5 15, 2015.
Thank you to all the volunteers who came to remove Carpet Burweed. Down on their hands and knees, with Mount Baker in the background, our volunteers took out hundreds of these tiny plants.
We will be meeting again next Sunday, February 22, 2015, from 1 – 4 PM to continue the removal of Carpet Burweed at Cattle Point. Please join us. We also will be removing Ivy for those who prefer to remain on two feet.
